CSIS-DOJ Active Cyber Defense Roundtable

On March 10, 2015, CSIS, in conjunction with the Cybersecurity Unit of the U.S. Department of Justice (Criminal Division), convened a group of leading private sector cybersecurity practitioners for a roundtable discussion about countermeasures and active cyber defense techniques used by the private sector to combat cyber threats. CSIS and DOJ sought to more accurately define what companies currently do to defend their digital assets, and what they would like to do, but feel constrained to do. This paper is a summary of the major topics discussed and the views expressed by the private sector participants during that meeting under the Chatham House Rule.
